@63rd independence: A better Nigeria is possible, says Ikhine

A frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Edo 2024 governorship election, Engr. Gideon Ikhine has appealed to Nigerians particularly residents of the State to look beyond their present challenges, assuring that a better Nigeria is possible.

His advice is contained in his message to Nigerians at 63rd Independence Day anniversary message on his Twitter Handle where he e joined Nigerians to take advantage of opportunities ahead of them.

The aspirant also implored Nigerians to “remember our past, appreciate our present, and look ahead” as “Independence Day marks our freedom in 1960, earned through sacrifices.

“To Edo State, we have culture, resources, and resilience. Together, we can develop our state with unity and cooperation.

“I believe in good governance, transparency, and accountability. As Edo 2024 governorship hopeful, we’ll listen to you, promote inclusivity, and prioritize education, the economy, and security for shared prosperity.

“Job creation and economic empowerment are crucial. Edo has potential in agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, and technology.

“We will support entrepreneurship, innovation, and partnerships that will ignite our Beacon of Hope for shared prosperity for all in Edo State and Nigeria as a Nation”, Ikhine assured.

Recall that Nigeria became a Sovereign nation October 1, 1963, after her national flag of green-white-green, symbolising agriculture and peace replaced the British Union jack on the flagpole
