55 suspects paraded for internet fraud in Ogun

55 suspects arrested for internet fraud have been paraded by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Directorate.

They were nabbed during a sting operation and paraded by the EFCC that conducted by EFCC at K Hotel in Itori, Ewekoro area of Ogun State on Wednesday, July 6, 2025.

EFCC said in a statement that the suspects arrest, followed credible and actionable intelligence available to the Commission regarding their fraudulent Internet activities in the State.

The suspects were arrested at K Hotel in Itori, Ewekoro area of Ogun State on Wednesday, July 6, 2025, following credible and actionable intelligence available to the Commission regarding their suspected fraudulent internet activities.

The anti graft Agency identified the suspects as Ogunniyi Oluwaseun, Babalola Ibrahim, Dada Qowiyu, Kunle Ajayi, Rufai Suleman, Babajide Shedrack, Oloyede Toheeb, Monday Joseph, Akinbode Babatunde, Oyedipe Micheal, Adekunle Jeremiah, Mustapha Muyideen, Mike Opeyemi and Bale Abayomi.

Others are Odukoya Samuel, Joseph Oyegunle, Bakole Abayomi, Babalola Micheal, Tajudeen Adeyemi, Ogunsola Habeeb, Amao Samson, Amuleya Matthew, Aroleyun Ifeoluwa, Babalola Ayomide, Popoola Oluwaloseyin, Mayowa Fasola and Muhammed Bahil.

Also included are Asiru Qoyim and Babatunde Qudus, Akande Ibrahim, Ojerinola Tumininu, Adedokun Hassan, Ogundele David, Opakunle Ayomide, Adeniyi Isreal, Yusuf Sikiru, Jimoh Olamilekan, Tosin Abiodun, Bamiduro Afeez, Lamina Usman, and Bakare Farouq.

Additional suspects listed in the statement are Ilori Michael, Segun Titiloye, Anifowose Musa, Idowu Peter, Laisi Ibrahim, Olaofe Emmanuel, Akeem Obabunmi, Afolabi Micheal, Afolabi Idris, Bamidele Ibrahim, Godwin Joshua, Adeeko Ayoola and Owoeye Kolawole as well as Mutiu Olude.

Six exotic cars, two locally- made pistols, one motorcycle, several mobile phones and laptops, incriminating documents, eighty-nine unclaimed phones among others were among the items recovered by the EFCC during the operation.

The suspects will have their date in court when investigations are concluded, according to the anti graft Agency.
