Wike holds Council chairmen accountable for security breach

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Minister, Nyesom Wike has declared that any Council chairman who refuses to convey monthly security meeting will be held responsible for any security breech.

The Minister issued the threat at a security town hall on Friday at Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), in Abuja where he urged all stakeholders to brace up to security challenges in the nation’s Capital.

Wike said, “If there is no monthly meeting held in terms of security meeting in the Councils, I should be aware, and I will hold that chairman responsible for any security breech.

“If you do your job, I do my job, traditional leaders do their own job, and security agencies do their own job, we won’t have problems”, he said.
