The military said on Friday that the federal government is watching the ongoing 10-day #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria nationwide protests against hunger that began August 1st, closely before it take a position in the unrest.

Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Christopher Musa said this while responding to questions at a Media briefing at the Defence Headquarters in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He commended the security agents particularly the Police personnel for demonstrating professionalism during the unrest, which he claimed is being sponsored by people who do not mean well for the nation.

He also urged Nigerians to remain calm and report any emergency to designated lines for necessary interventions.

The Chief of Defence Staff, “We are going behind to identify all those involved, their sponsors. There are individuals that are making them (Nigerians) to do what they are doing.

He also advised Nigerians to look towards their State Governors who should behave responsibly for succour too, assuring that President Bola Tinubu is working to alleviate the plights of Nigerians since he assumed office last year.

He said, “I know that a lot of restrains were really exercised yesterday (Thursday August 1st). I have seen a lot of people that go injured. But, we are investigating what happened”.

According to him, “When it is time, they will call and they need help, they we call us. For now, we are in the background.
