Troops kill 4 terrorists in Zambisa forest’, Borno

The counter-insurgency operations by the Nigerian Army troops deployed to the North East as part of Nigeria, has received a boost.

On Friday March 8, 2024, three terrorists were allegedly neutralized by troops during a successful operation conducted by troops on a terrorists’ camp in the area of Zambisa Forest

Onyema Nwachukwu who confirmed this in a statement on Saturday March 9, 2024, said another terrorist was also killed in a another operation in the Buluwa Area of Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

He revealed that a suicide bomber was among the those killed in Zambisa forest clearance operation by troops who also destroyed their enclave in the area.

Major General Nwachukwu revealed that two AK-47 rifles and a suicide vest, were also recovered by troops were recovered after a thorough search by gallant troops.

“During the operation, the troops gallantly neutralized 3 terrorists, including a suicide bomber and destroyed their enclave in the area. After a thorough search, troops recovered 2 AK-47 Rifles and a suicide vest”, according to the Army spokesman.

Giving insight on the Borno operation, major General Nwachukwu sai troops uncovered and destroyed another terrorists’ camp where a terrorist was killed.

He said one AK-47 Rifle, 14 rounds of 7.62mm (Special), a bicycle, foodstuff, a grinding machine, and other sundry items were also recovered during the operation by troops.
