The leadership crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area assumed a worrisome dimension on Saturday.
This followed the disruption of the party meeting at the residence of former House of Representatives for Ikpoba-Okha and Egor Federal Constituency, Hon. Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma’s house
in the Council area by suspected thugs.
It was learnt that over four vehicles that were parked at the premises of a APC Chieftain, were vandalized by thugs who chased away party faithful from the meeting, amid outrage.
It was learnt that the factional meeting
had barely begun when thugs who brandished dangerous weapons, invaded the venue and disrupted the meeting.
A footage of the incident and vehicles whose windscreens were smashed by the hoodlums, was shared on Facebook by some members of PDP in a bid to expose the show of shame and make it sink.
The State Publicity Secretary of APC, Mr Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie is yet-to respond to inquiry by the (online) Newspaper.
The Edo State governorship election is schedule to hold on September 21, 2024.
