Rehab son punches wheelchair-bound ex-military officer for rejecting cash request

Date:

Drama unfolded on Isienmwenro Street in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, where a middle-aged man, Aisosa, allegedly knocked down his wheelchair-bound, retired military father with blows, leaving the elderly man bruised and traumatized.

According to sources, the altercation between the returning rehabilitation patient and his wheelchair-bound father, began around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, after the veteran flatly refused his son’s demand for money.

For three agonizing hours, the helpless retiree (name withheld) endured physical assault before managing to raise the alarm at about 7:00 p.m., letting out a piercing scream that finally alerted terrified neighbours during the domestic violence incident.

Insiders revealed that Aisosa had recently returned to his father’s house following a stint at a rehabilitation centre over suspected illicit drug abuse—a return that neighbours now view with deep regret.

Brave youths in the area forced their way into the apartment to rescued the battered dark skin veteran, gasping for breath in agony.

However, the rescue mission hit a temporary snag when Aisosa’s mother, visibly helpless and overwhelmed, tried to block the youths while bitterly lamenting the daily nightmare of living with her violent son.
