Police round-off special training for operatives

The intensive tactical training programme for operatives of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS), geared towards effective policing strategy, has been rounded off Ende Hills, Nasarawa State.

The completion of the rigorous training underscores the commitment of the squad to ensure safety and security in across the Communities.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training on Monday, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun urged the personnel to dedicated and resilience in upholding professional standard.

Police Force spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said Monday in a statement that the launching of the Special Intervention Squad initiative would soon be enacted in all states across the nation.

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr Abdullahi, commended the Inspector General of Police and his team for the establishment of the squad and the timely training of its members.

The National Security Adviser, the Minister of Police Affairs, alongside the Chairman Police Service Commission, Stakeholders in addition to delegates from the US Embassy were present on the occasion.
