Police free ex- AIG wife, kill Kidnappers in Ogun

 

 

Suspected kidnappers of Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu have been rescued by police operatives after neutralizing the hoodlums in gun battle.

Folashade, was taken hostage by armed men at her residence at the entrance of her residence in the Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State last Wednesday.

Her abductors took the former AIG’s wife through a swampy area to an unknown destination after dragging her out of her Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Consequently, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo and his team to swing into action to free her.

ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, spokesman, confirmed this to Channels Television in a telephone conversation on Thursday.

He said the operatives equally recovered the undisclosed sum of money that was offered as ransom paid to the kidnappers as bait.

He commended CP Lanre Ogunlowo for a good job, saying, “We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear Country”.
