Air passenger, Ms Comfort Emmanson reportedly stripped during a row with some Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN officials, after she physically assaulted air hostess at the Lagos airport on Sunday August 10th 2025.
The incident happened days after an incident involving music icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as Kwam 1 or K1 De Ultimate at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in Abuja.
As reported, Wasiu’s unruly behaviour, prompted the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is
NCAA to ban him six months while investigating continues.
TheNewspad reports that in the now viral video, Emmanson who was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight, repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft who did not retaliate after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off.
Peeved by the uncouth behaviour of the passenger heckled airport officials who tried to restrain her after a disagreement between Ibom Purser, seen lamenting the disturbing incident that has got netizens talking.
The yet-to-be named Purser was said to have instructed the young lady who was instructed to switch off her mobile phone while she was about to board the airplane, according to the airport authority while she went ballistic.
Responding to the footage, Ibom Air said in a statement said the unruly passenger has placed a ban for life from flying the airline, which confirmed the arrest of Comfort by FAAN security agents who thereafter handed her over to police for further investigation and prosecution.
Ibom airline also revealed that it had submitted a report on the incident to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and placed a travel restriction on Ms. Emmanson, who will no longer be permitted to fly on any of their aircraft, and commended the crew members and the security personnel for handling the situation with decorum.
