Outrage over UNIZIK student’s electrocution

Undergraduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK in Anambra State has been allegedly electrocuted by electricity cables, raising serious security concerns among residents and students over basic safety rules.


The second year student identified as Fedwin, according to a source, was stuck to death while pressing his clothes in his off-campus lodge near the University’s Community, weekend.

It was learnt that Fedwin was discovered lifeless on the floor by his helpless roommates, and immediately contacted the owner for the property who contacted police authorities in the area.

TheNewspad reports that the remains of the victim has been deposited in a morgue for preservation while his parents have been contacted by the Management of UNIZIK.

A date for the candle light procession in honour of the undergraduate has not been fixed by the student Union body at the time of this report.
