Osun governorship poll: Adeleke beats APC Oyebamiji with 66,252 to secure second term

The incumbent Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has been declared winner of Saturday August 15th 2026 governorship poll.

 

He secured 511,067 valid votes cast, ahead of his closest rival Bola Oyebamiji who won 11 Local government Councils with 445,815 valid votes at the poll.

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared

Adeleke, the Accord Candidate, winner after beating the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, with 66,252 valid votes at the poll.

 

Adeleke’s victory has sparked widespread jubilation amongst Adeleke’s supporters, members of his party and beyond.
