Oshoala to quit int’l football after WAFCON

Nigerian football icon, Asisat Oshoala, has will quit international football at the end of 2024/25 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The feat, marks the end of an extraordinary era in African women’s football for the first African woman to score in and win the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Super Falcons, forward has won the African Women’s Footballer of the year award a record six times.

Born in October 1994), Oshoala plays as a striker for National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Club Bay FC.

She is widely regarded as one of the best female players in women’s football of her generation, according to Wikipedia.
