Oredo e-services against excessive billing debuts

Online services platform that eliminate indiscriminate, selective, excessive billing system is set for launch in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Chairman of the Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki
said the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) driven tools will among other things collect, collate data, and promote transparency in governance and provide user-friendly experience to residents.

Obaseki who spoke at a Press briefing on Monday, stated that the online platform, which would be accessible 24/7, parades a plethora of features tailored to meet diverse needs of citizens and residents of Oredo, with some of its key functions, comprising convenience, flexibility, and reliability.

The Council boss noted that the digital platform will automate access to services in a way that anywhere in the world, residents of Oredo can access multiple services remotely and from the comfort of their homes.

The e-service will also help users to process Local Government Origin/Identification Certificates, Marriage Registration, Burial Permits, and other services without physical appearance of individuals as well as eliminate touting activities of middlemen
in some parts of Oredo Local Government Area.

The symbolic initiative, which is an automated and innovative service delivery platform initiated and executed by Dr Tom Obaseki-led administration, will render various services to Oredo residents in a timely, seamless, and more efficient manner.

In addition, the cutting-edge technology will house a digital environment where people can communicate, share information, and collaborate, which is the first-ever turn around service delivery to residents of the premier Council in Edo State.
