The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, All Progressives Congress, APC in the September 21, 2024 Edo governorship election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sympathized with victims of the fire that occured on Tuesday near Eki Osa market in Oredo Local Government Area of the State.

The statement berated
Peoples Democratic Party led government of Obaseki for failing to equip the fire service Department, which it claimed contributed to the huge loss recorded by victims of the fire incidents in some parts of the State.
The statement noted with concern that “it was embarrassing that the state government would have to wait for such a monumental disaster without considering how to revamp the fire service, apart from the one donated to it”.
The statement also “commiserate with them at these trying times, just as we call on the governor to immediately fulfill his promise to the victims of Eki Osa market and also support the victims of this recent incident”.
