From COC Onah

The Pan Igbo socio Cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has decried alleged campaigns of calumny against the governor of Anambra State and the 2023 Presidential Candidate of Labour party (LP), Peter Obi, ahead of Saturday March 11th Stare house of Assembly elections.

Chief Chris Eluemuno, former chairman of the Anambra State chapter of Ohanaeze said this while reacting to misinformation and disinformation in the sewage of social media, earlier dismissed by Christian Aburime, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Ekuemuno explained in a statement on Monday that such attitude is not in the character of Anambra people, urged them to bond together in unity by conspiracy theorists, especially at this critical time of transition in Nigeria’s democratic process.

Eluemuno who was a member of the 2014 Constitutional conference said, “Any Governor of a State is the father of everyone irrespective of political affiliation by  virtue of his position and such person should not be seen as an agent of  darkness that would  plot or collude to harm any lawful citizen of the State under his watch including Mr Peter Obi, a former governor and presidential Candidate of the Labour Party — a huge human capital for the State and Country’.
