Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta on Tuesday signed the state’s 2025
budget estimate of
N979 billion into law.
Delta State House of Assembly assented to the Appropriation Bill,
christened the Budget of Fiscal Consolidation.
In a post on his Facebook, page, Governor Oborevwori, also signed five other Bills into law, accordingly.
The Bills are Southern Delta University, Ozoro(Establishment) (Amendment) Law, 2024, Delta State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency (Amendment) Law, 2024.
Others include Delta State Human Trafficking (Prohibition) Law, 2024, Special Offences Court (Amendment) Law, 2024
and Delta State Protection of Persons with Disability Law 2024.
The Governor thanked members and Principal Officers of the Assembly including management, and staff of the Assembly for the prompt passage of the Bill and for the synergy that exists between the Executive and other arms of government.
He appreciated Deltans and residents for their show of love. We, as a government, will strive to implement projects embedded in the 2025 budget as well as complete ongoing ones.
