Obaseki sacks over 300 appointees weeks after election

The Edo State governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday dissolved the the State Executive Council, leaving over 300 of his appointees jobless.

The decision which comes barely three weeks after the April 15, 2023 re-run elections in some State house of Assembly Constituencies.

Mr Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser, Media Projects, said in a statement that Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) are among those affected by the decision, which is with immediate effect.
