Oba of Benin summons village heads in suspended Enigie’ Dukedoms

 

 

Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, Oba of Benin has summoned Edionwere (village heads) and elders of villages across the various Dukedoms in Benin Kingdom whose Enigie (Dukes) have been suspended indefinitely to a meeting with the royal father.

Frank Irabor, Secretary, Benin Traditional Council said in a statement that village heads and elders in 68 additional Dukes who were recently sanctioned by Oba Ewuare II, for leading rebellion against Benin monarchy are also invited to Oba Palace in Benin City on Thursday March 20th 2025 meeting, which will begin at 12p.m prompt.
