Northern Emir dies after returning from S/ Arabia

Alhaji Yumusa Muhammadu, Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State has lost his life battle to an undisclosed illness after 46 years on the throne of his forebears.

According to Daily Trust, Ningi is among the six emirates in Bauchi State.
Others are Bauchi, Katagum, Misau, Jama’are, and Dass.

88-year-old traditional ruler died on Sunday morning at the Expert Alliance Hospital, Kano State, two days after returning from a medical trip to Saudi Arabia.

TheNewspad reports that Mr Usman Sule, Secretary of Ningi Emirate Council, said in a statement on Sunday said the funeral prayer for the Alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Kaduna State, will be held by 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi.
