Nollywood actor ‘Mr Ibu’ dies of Cardiac arrest

The Actors Guild of Nigeria has announced the death of veteran 62-year-old Nollywood actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu.

Okafor died on Saturday due of complications arising from Cardiac arrest, after undergoing multiple surgeries, including a leg amputation surgery due to “constant clotting of the blood in his leg.

Emeka Rollas, President of the Guild in a statement on Saturday night, said, “I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it.

“May his soul rest in peace, According to Rollas, “Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor”.

Rollas also said another popular Nollywood Actor, Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier on Saturday, March 2.
