Innocent Idibia, popular Nigerian music star, better known as 2Baba has appealed to Nigerians including his fans to ceasefire after a viral video of marital dispute with his wife and member of Edo State House of Assembly, Natasha Osawuaru.
He made the distress call in the now trending video in response to the State House of Assembly summon notice, directing his wife and member representing Egor Constituency, Natasha, to appear before the Ethics and Privileged Committee within one week to show cause why she should not be sanctioned for the alleged misconduct.
Idibia revealed that the marital feud is putting the life of his wife, Natasha ‘at risk’, noting that he is ‘perfectly okay’.
The renowned singer, sued for restraint and assured the dispute would be resolved soon, stressing that ‘this is getting out of hand’.
According to 2Baba, “I know what fans can do
I am perfectly okay. This is really putting Natasha in a situation situation. It’s not fair for anybody to do this kind of thing”.
“So, I need everybody to calm down. I need everybody to ceasefire. We are going to resolve all these issues. People dey get issue for house”, he stated in the video.
During plenary on Tuesday, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku said, “Distinguished members, of recent, this Honourable House, with cerebral and highly educated members, have been dragged to the mud for too long by our colleague, Honorable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
“For the past one week, she has been, let me use the word, treading negatively both electronic media and social media platforms. Television such as TVC, Silverbird, and other television stations.
“We want to let the public know that this House is a decent and reputable House. In Nigeria, as a whole, this House is the best House. That is the truth.
“But we have responsible members in this House. Intelligent members in this House. Members that know what they are doing. So the attitude or the misconduct of a member cannot drag the House to disrepute”, he said.
Agbebaku who said the house frowned against her attitude and actions, noted that they will not tolerate and accept it any longer”, he said.
