Multichoice: Nigerians to pay more for DSTV, GOtv

Pay television giant, Multichoice on Wednesday announced an increase in prices on the DSTV and GOtv packages, exceeding public expectation.

John Ugbe, Chief Executive officer of the satellite television service in Sub-Saharan Africa disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement titled: ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages’.

 

The company in a message sent to its customers, blamed the hike on rise in the cost of business operations.

The increment would take effect on May 1, 2024, according to the statement, which pegged the Premium package on DSTV, which used to cost N29,500, would now go for N37,000.

The statement also said the Compact Plus which currently goes for N19,800, has been increased to N25,000.
