Awka, Anambra State — A professor in the Chinese Department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Ifeanyi Sunny Odinye, was reportedly attacked by a mob following allegations that he attempted to sexually assault a female student inside his office.
According to reports, the incident escalated when the student managed to take the lecturer’s clothing and ran outside, prompting him to pursue her in a state of undress.
Witness accounts indicate that a group of students intercepted the lecturer during the pursuit and physically assaulted him.
Additional sources have alleged that the lecturer’s wife is also an employee at the institution.
