Makinde: Yoruba nation invaders high in drugs

Governor Seyi of Oyo State has declared that ‘Yoruba nation agitators’ who invaded the State Secretariat and the State House of Assembly over the weekend were high in cheap drugs.

Makinde revealed this while speaking though his Special Adviser on Security Matters on Monday’s Channels Television brief, monitored by TheNewspad Media

Makinde expressed concern over the incident, which recorded a major response by security agents, noting that the government has learnt lessons to relate with the people better.

He said, “Like I indicted before, they (miscreants) seem to have been intoxicated with cheap drugs. It is just like a movement, hypnotism and others”

According to him, “They (security personnel) have been on their track. So, it was easy to dislodge them when they started their madness”.

He stated that the Government has met heads of security agencies in the State on daily basis after the invasion by the ‘Yoruba nation agitators’ operating under the umbrella of ‘Democratic Democratic Republic of the Yoruba’.

He hinted that intelligence revealed that the miscreants have a training ground somewhere.

The Governor also expressed concern over the level of intelligence on the agitators, saying, “we have learnt lessons and we need to engage more with the people.

Meanwhile, police authorities in Oyo State has paraded some suspects that were arrested in connection with the weekend invasion.

During the parade of the suspects at the police headquarters in Ibadan, the State Capital, foreign military camouflage, insignia, communicator radio, Megaphone, exi executive ‘Yoruba nation agitators’ shirts, machine guns, flags, three buses, motorcycles, there buses and a car police recovered from the suspects who will soon have their date in court.
