Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a 50-year-old female ammunition courier in Kaduna State, recovering 300 rounds of ammunition concealed in a bag.
According to a statement issued by the spokesman for the operation, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the arrest was part of a series of successful separate operations that also led to the capture of a suspected terrorist kingpin and a logistics supplier.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the female suspect travelled from Zamfara State to Lafia, where she picked up the ammunition for delivery to terrorists in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
In a related operation on the same day, troops of Sector 1—acting in collaboration with a community vigilante group—apprehended a suspected terrorist logistics supplier in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, recovering four communication devices believed to be used by the network.
Furthermore, in the early hours of September 9, 2026, Sector 1 troops conducted a clearance operation at Dabar Dabo, a known terrorist hideout in Kubau Local Government Area, successfully arresting a terrorist kingpin alongside two members of his syndicate.
The military stated that all suspects and recovered items remain in custody for further investigation.
