Ibadan explosion: CP joins security agents in rescue operation

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State Command, CP. Adebola Hamzat has joined a detached security agents involved in Dejo Oyelese Street Bodija Ibadan, Oyo State rescue operation.

The cause of explosion that sent shock wave down the spines of residents, the night of Tuesday January 16, 2024, is not yet known.

A statement from the Police Command in Oyo State said “no casualty could be confirmed as the search continues”.

It said the CP Hamzat was accompanied by some officers and other responders are on the ground for on-the-spot assessment and rescue operation.

It also deployed “armed and plain clothe officers to forestall any breakdown of law and order”.
