Housewives protest influx of sex workers amid soaring divorce rates, STI fears in Enugu

Furious housewives in Enugu State have staged a peaceful protest against the influx of commercial s£x workers amid rising cases of divorce and broken marriages and divorce.

 

They accused commercial sex workers of takeover their husbands and sons in sex industry, sticking against the institution of marriage and human rights concerns.

 

The protesters who matched across major streets, including Omunuanyi area, chanting solidarity songs, also lay curses on prostitutes behind their ordeals in a viral video on the internet.

 

The women also raised concerns over risk of spreading sexually transmitted infections, STI and sexually transmitted Diseases, STD in the State.

 

The protesters lamented the harsh economy, pushing women into transactional sex, child marriage in the State.
