Gombe couple arrested by troops for ‘banditry’

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a couple for alleged involvement in banditry in Gombe State.

 

The male suspect, Bala Pakapaka, said to be a close ally of the notorious bandits leader Kachalla Auta, along with his wife, Zulaha Bala in the State.

 

The couple was intercepted on April 16, 2026, after fleeing their base in the Dajin Madam Forest in Plateau State through intelligence-led surveillance, according to military sources.
