Fire disaster averted in UNIBEN

Early intervention by University of Benin (UNIBEN) Fire station has averted inferno on Ugbowo Campus of the institution.

Responders averted the disaster that would have cause a colossal damage at the ICT section of the University on Tuesday evening.

A top Management staff of the University said the incident was caused by a power surge.

The surge, plunged part of the University into darkness on Tuesday night, after workers have closed from work, the source said.

Spokesperson for the University of Benin, Dr. (Mrs) Benedicta Ehanire, could not be reached for comments as at the time of filing this report.
