Dunamis church Pastor, wife die 6 months after losing sister in Abuja

Date:

Worshippers are mourning the demise of Abah Charles, A Pastor of Dunamis church in one of the Abuja branches, and his wife who has also transited, six months after the death of their sister-in-law.

The Couple who left behind three children are recognized for their impactful dedication to the service or God and humanity during their sojourn on earth.

The church authority has yet-to-issue a statement regarding the shocking incident, devoid of derision that are usually highlighted with such unexpected tragedies.

But netizens are talking about the selfless service of the church workers, and sending their condolences on social media.

A Facebook user, Chineze Mary-Ann Ani said, “His wife also d!ed 6 months ago and his sister d!ed last year.

“The late couple left behind three children”, the user said.

In a heartwarming tribute titled, ‘Death embe not proud, Promise Asiagwu wrote:
“I often hesitate to write or make posts about someone who is no more majorly because I feel that its pointless and they would never see it and whatever needs to be done needs to be done while that individual is living”.

“For my Pastor Charles Abah I would make that exception because I made him know how much he meant to me up till the 2nd Day of January 2026.

“I remember stumbling upon the picture where you presented me with my Maturity certificate a week ago and I gazed on it with such fondness that I had a deja vu feeling.

“December 25th your beloved wife now resting with her maker would say to me ‘Promise please don’t forget to come visiting on Christmas with all your gang oo’.

“After our regular Christmas outreach we would storm her house and she would practically go into the kitchen and bring out everything eatable and we would all laugh, dine and sing till late in the night.

“My heart tore open when I heard of the transfer to Yola of Pastor Abah Charles we practically spent the final night with some friends in my dear pastors residence with Mama Favor Abah packing unknown to me that that would be the last time I would behold their faces on this side of eternity.

“There are ‘pastors’ and there are ‘Shepherds’ and my pastor Charles Abah was not only a shepherd he was the best of shepherds there was because the job of a Shepherd after all is simply to point men to Jesus and Oh boy!!! he did that excellently well.

“As a Shepherd he was constantly interested in our welfare at a time when we had no seed to offer or prophet offering he was always out to see to our welfare.

“A simple sermon was being preached when a wandering Promise Asiagwu searching for a Pastor and a church walked into DIGC Asaba and from that moment I knew I had found my pastor.

“I remember longing to hear him teach on the days we were not connecting to the headquarters because he preached in the simplest form yet with an aura of Divinity surrounding him.

“His wife mama Favour Abah was a phenomenon as she was one who never wore the toga of a ‘resident Pastor’s wife’ rather she would choose the back seat.

“Whenever their beloved son Emma was disturbing mummy Abah would hand him over to me to keep him still in an era where pastors minor Children were being tail guarded by full grown men in the name of protocol.

“Your death is one that I may never come to terms with barely seven months after the passing of your beloved wife.

“We’d meet at the Master’s feet and I’d thank Jesus for the privilege to have tasted true Shepherding via His son Pastor Charles Abah and his beloved wife.

“Pastor Charles Abah lived as a living sacrifice and finally he has been offered up to the One whom he lived for and preached week after week. One more reason to make Heaven because the reunion go loud!! FAREWELL!!!”, according to Asiagwu.

Another Facebook post by Gloria, reads, “just couldn’t hold back the tears as I read this writeup@Promise Asiagwu, you said it all, there is nothing more to add to it,May their beautiful, cheerful and loving soul continue to rest in peace”.
