Don’t gloat, APC ditches ‘Okpebholo’s convoy crash’

The All Progressives Congress has reacted to an unconfirmed report of a fatal road incident speculated to have involved the convoy of its Candidate in Saturday September 21st 2024 governorship poll, warning that it’s inhumane to gloat.

An official of the party in the State said late Friday on Whatsapp, rejecting attempt by fifth Columnists to swim with the tide of public opinion rather than showing empathy to victims.

Assuming without conceding, the official said, “Road accidents are unpredictable and can occur at any time, making it illogical to celebrate the “crushing to death” of any individual. Such accidents are not deliberate acts, and to gloat over them is inhumane”.

Multiple reports from in some online news sources (Not Newspad), had said on Friday evening that the accident which occurred on Warrake road near Uzebba axis, Owan West Local government Area of the State, recorded five fatalities, including Emmanuel Edionwe.

But, the men of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) have neither confirmed nor denied the report.
