Some States in North West Region of Nigeria have been thrown into blackout after an articulated truck crashed into a tower belonging to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
The incident that occured at about 9:28 A.M on Sunday August 11th 2024 in Kunduwa village, Kano State.
The crash, caused power outages after the Kadiyya 132 KVA transmission tower which was brought down by the truck.
The affected Communities, include Kadiyya, Gumel, Garawa, Nguru in Jigsaw and Yobe States, according to Media reports.
The TCN said it has despatched a team of Surveyors to access the damaged tower with a view to begin repair as soon as possible.
It also assured that power would be restored to the affected areas as soon as the repair is completed.
