The Benue State Head of Service, Dr. Agbogbo Ode, is reportedly dead.
His death was reported Saturday, May 2, 2026, after a brief illness.
Ahead of the formal announcement by his family, netizens on cyberspace have began to send tributes to the family of the departed top government official.
The Governor of the State, Hyacinth Alia, according to sources have been briefed about the death of the late Head of Service.
Agama Moses, a social media user, accused the government of unwillingness to sponsored his medical trip abroad, before the tragic incident.
He wrote: “It quiet unfortunate that the government of Benue State could not afford to sponsored his medical treatment abroad upon his applications since last year. Its Well”.
Ode, was a dedicated technocrat and pillar of the State Civil service, Dr. Ode’s death is a significant loss to the State. His legacy of hard work, integrity, and impactful contributions will be greatly missed.
