AIG Arungua Udo, the Assistant Inspector-General of police, has Bern deployed into AIG Zone 5 Benin, in Benin City, Edo State, ending barely two months of uncertainty.
AIG Udo — one the newly promoted AIGs, replaces late AIG Tanko Jimeta was in charge of AIG Zone 5 Benin, comprising Edo, Delta, and Bayelsa States, before his death on Sunday February 12, 2023.
CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, said in a statement at the weekend.
AIG Udo positing along with other newly elevated and decorated Senior police officers are with immediate effect, according to the statement, which was sighted by TheNewspad
A breakdown of the deployment and postings indicates that AIG Ahmed Abdulrahman, heads AIG Zone 14 Katsina State, AIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje, takes charge of AIG Police Mobile Force headquarters.
AIG Matthew Akinyosola, will man AIG Special Protection Unit, while AIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi will occupy AIG Zone 12 Bauchi alongside AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku who was deployed to AIG Maritime Lagos State.
AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh becomes the helmsman of AIG Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia, while AIG Aliyu Garba takes charge of AIG Zone 7 Abuja. Accordingly, AIG Idris Dabban Dauda is in charge of AIG Iformation Communication Technology (ICT) Force Headquarters (FHQ), Abuja, just as AIG Yusuf Ahmed Usman will hold sway AIG Research and Development (FHQ).
Also, AIG Haladu M. Ros-Amson is expected to resume duty as AIG Zone 4 Makurdi in Benue State, alingside AIG Babatunde B. Ishola who is in charge of AIG Zone 8 Lokoja, Kogi State. AIG Alexander N. Wannang is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear as AIG Counter Terrorism Unit (FHQ),
Others are AIG Mamman Sanda Umar, in charge of Zone 9 Umuahia in Abia State, while AIG Ari M. Ali takes charge of AIG Zone 2 Lagos State. AIG Sadiq I. Abubakar will assume duty as Commandant Police Academy, Wudil, while AIG Frank Emeka Mba, is to strengthen security as AIG Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex Lagos State.
AIG Benjamin N. Okolo, will resume his new office as AIG Zone 16 Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, while AIG Oyediran A. Oyeyemi takes over AIG DTD FHQ, Abuja alongside AIG Babaji Sunday who will assume duty as AIG FCID Annex Kaduna State, and AIG Yusuf C. Usman who is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment as AIG Force Transport Officer.
TheNewspad recalls that last Monday, the IGP Baba, decorated newly promoted AIGs to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of police in Abuja.
The officers are DIG Ali Aji Janga in charge of the Department of Research and Planning, DIG Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, in charge of the Department of Training and Development, and DIG Adeleke Yinka Bode, in charge of the Department of Operations.
The IGP admonished the Senior officers to key into his mandate and strategies to strengthen the operational structures of Commands, Departments, and formations towards realizing the mission and vision of the 21st Century policing in Nigeria.
