Police arrest woman over disturbing child pornography video, rescue four children

Date:

Police detectives have arrested 36-year-old Anulika Onyeanusia in Onitsha, Anambra State, after she was caught in a trending viral video using sex toys on a minor.

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Command in Anambra State, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the suspect’s detention on the evening of Monday, September 10, 2026.

The high-stakes operation also successfully led to the rescue of four vulnerable children—aged 2, 3, 6, and 9 years old—alongside the recovery of sex toys and critical evidence tied to the ongoing investigation.

Authorities confirmed that the prime suspect’s husband is currently undergoing interrogation as police widen their net to uncover potential accomplices in the shocking scandal.

”The Anambra State Police Command on the evening of today 10th September 2026, acting on open-source intelligence concerning a disturbing trending video of a lady allegedly using sex toys on a minor, has arrested one Anulika Onyeanusia, a 36-year-old woman, in connection with an alleged case of child pornography in Onitsha, Anambra State”.

”The husband of the suspect is also undergoing interrogation to determine whether he has any connection with the alleged offence.”

”The operation also led to the rescue of four children, aged 2, 3, 6 and 9 years respectively, as well as the recovery of sex toys and other items relevant to the ongoing investigation”, according to the statement.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, strongly condemned the act, calling it completely unacceptable and emphasizing the absolute need to protect children who cannot defend themselves.

He has ordered a thorough, professional investigation while prioritizing immediate care and medical safety for the rescued minors.

”To this end, the Command notes that beyond the investigation and prosecution, its priority is the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the rescued children.”

The police command has pledged to collaborate closely with child-protection agencies and specialized support networks to provide necessary counseling, trauma recovery, and rehabilitation for the survivors.

The Commissioner commended local vigilante operatives, alert bloggers, and vigilant residents whose timely intelligence directly facilitated the swift arrest of the suspect.

He assured the public that the privacy and identities of the children will remain strictly protected throughout the legal process.
