Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has stepped in to provide financial relief for ailing veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, covering the initial phase of her ongoing medical expenses.
The announcement was made public by Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as JMartins, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Abia State Governor.
In an official statement shared on social media, Martins, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Otti for his prompt response to the veteran screen icon’s health crisis.
While the Governor’s intervention successfully settles the first batch of medical bills, authorities note that further financial assistance remains vital for her complete recovery.
“The Governor’s intervention covers the first part of Ngozi Nwosu’s medical expenses, but additional financial support is still needed to ensure she receives the care she requires.
“His Excellency @alexottiofr has just stepped in on the health issues of our Abia-born Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter), according to Martins.
Martins has extended an urgent appeal to well-meaning Nigerians, corporate bodies, and fans to rally behind the beloved actress during her time of need.
