How joint security forces smashed armed robbery gang in Anambra

A Joint Security Forces coordinated by the Commander, Forward Operating Base (FOB) Aguata, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Austin Eligwe of the Nigeria police Command have smashed four members of armed robbery gang.

 

The Command’s spokesman,

SP Tochukwu Ikenga said in a statement said operatives recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition during the intelligence-driven operation on the Ogboji–Ajalli Road, Orumba South Local Government Area where awhite Toyota Sienna vehicle that had earlier been reported stolen by the armed gang.

 

Accordingly, Ikenga, revealed that the Police have identified and established contact with the owner of the recovered white Toyota Sienna vehicle in connection with the crime on Wednesday June 24, 2025.

 

“The insights gathered from the victim are currently assisting the Command in reviewing and strengthening its operational strategies, personnel deployment, and security positioning within the area and adjoining communities”, according to Ikenga.

 

The police spokesman commended the the courage, resilience, and professionalism of the Joint Security Team, noted that no single security agency can take sole credit for the sustained safety and security currently being enjoyed in the State,

 

The statement emphasized that the achievements recorded are products of effective inter-agency collaboration, intelligence sharing, and the continued support of Ndi Anambra.

 

The statement also assured residents that ongoing intelligence-led operations are being sustained to identify, track, and apprehend other fleeing members of the criminal gang and their collaborators.
