3 women accused of stealing fishes stripped at Akwa Ibom market

Operatives of the Nigeria police have rescued three women from mob attack at the weekend in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

 

The unidentified women accused of stealing fish at Afaha market on Ring Road 3, and thereafter stripped naked by their fellow women and youths at the market.

 

Investigation revealed that one of the suspects escaped after allegedly being beaten, while the remaining two were taken to the police station for interrogation.

 

The recent alleged physical assault on the women has sparked outrage amongst Nigerians, with several social media users, condemning the act.
