Arrest of ‘one chance’ robbers behind student’s attack excite Nigerians

A two man-gang of ‘one chance robbers’ behind the attack of nursing student by police operatives in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital have triggered excitement among netizens in social media Community.

 

The criminal suspects identified as Leo Celestine and Ndiana-Abasi William, were caught after they attacked and robbed the 20-year-old victim of her personal belongings in Calabar on April 16.

 

It was learnt that the hoodlums pushed the victim out of their operational vehicle, which was in motion, prompting residents who to raise the alarm that led to their arrest by police operatives.

 

Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing members of the criminal gang and their accomplices who bought some of the stolen items from the alleged culprits, a police source said.
