There was pandemonium at a popular Mall on Ahmadu Bello Way in Jos, the Plateau State Capital where Nigeria police personnel and soldiers of the Nigerian Army engaged in a fight.

The recent incident began with an altercation that led to a free for all occurred when a policeman prevented a soldier from arresting a roadside phone dealer who was said to have damaged his mobile phone that he gave to him for repair.

Angry soldier invited colleagues who stormed the scene in a Hilux van, and allegedly pounced on the police officer, and seized his rifle as punishment for preventing them from carrying out their lawful duties, according to witness, Bello Lukman who detailer the event on Facebook that was earlier captured by Gistlover online.

In response to the now trending video in the internet, Lukman wrote: “A policeman was beaten and disarmed yesterday at the GSM centre in Hamaz area of Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

“They beat up the police, wounded him and left with his gun. Police in the area were consequently withdrawn, with the traders making frantic effort to engage other security agents to help secure the area. A bloodbath was therefore averted as the policeman also corked his gun”, he said.
