Lagos PPRO, Hundeyin relives last phone conversation with Arase

The Public Relations officer of the Nigeria Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin has relived his last telephone conversation with retired 18th Indigenous Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase who died on Sunday August 31st 2025.

In his tribute via his Facebook account, Hundeyin wrote, “exactly fifteen days ago, I got the sudden urge to check up on you”.

“I called. You picked up at first ring and we spoke. You asked if I was okay and encouraged me to keep the flag flying. I never ever guessed it was the last time.

“Rest well, sir. Your words of encouragement will forever remain indelible.

“IGP Solomon Ehigiator Arase (Rtd)
June 21, 1956 – August 31, 2025”, he said.
