Members of Edo State House of Assembly laughed uproariously when Natasha Osawaru, the fiancée of singer 2Baba, told them Idibia is her maiden name while introducing herself during plenary session.
Natasha Osaworu, the fiancée of singer 2Baba, told her colleagues on Wednesday that Idibia is her maiden name during a plenary session at the Edo state house of Assembly when she introduced herself.
In a viral video, Osawaru, the grand daughter of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin said, “My name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, née Idibia”, before getting into her speech during the plenary.
Introducing herself as Idibia sparked immediate laughter among her colleagues as she took the floor, sparking reactions in the internet space.
The lawmaker representing the Egor constituency in the Edo House of Assembly, has being making headlines since 2Baba announced his separation from Annie Idibia in January and announced his relationship with Natasha.
Constituently, the ‘African Queen’ singer proposed to her while insisting their relationship had nothing to do with his separation from Annie two months ago.
On Monday, Natasha lost her principal officer’s position as the Minority leader of the Assembly, after four PDP lawmakers defection of four lawmakers elected Peoples Democratic Party, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), giving the latter majority control with 13 members while PDP membership reduced to 11.
The PDP status depleted further on Wednesday when the lawmaker, representing Uhunmwode Constituency, Kaycee Osamwonyi joined to ruling APC in the State, bringing the numerical strength of APC lawmakers in the Assembly to 14.
