Aisha Buhari Nephew dies in Abuja road crash

 

Former First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, lost her Nephew, Yusuf Usman Halilu in Abuja road accident last week Friday morning.

Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar confirmed the accident that occurred on Airport road in Abuja via his social Media account, Sunday.

TheNewspad reports that the late student of Nile University, Abuja, was buried at the weekend in accordance with Islamic rites after Jumna Prayer at National Mosque, Abuja where “Janaza” – was held in his honour.

Some prominent Nigerians, including the former Vice President of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku started sending condolences to the family of Halilu who is survived by his wife.

In his tribute, Atiku Abubakar wrote: “I paid a condolence visit to former First Lady Hajiya Aisha Buhari over the death of her nephew, Yusuf Usman Halilu.

“I was received by Musa Halilu, Dujuman Adamawa. I prayed that Allah will forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus”, he prayed.

A Blogger, Laylah Bello in a Facebook post said, “We were together on Monday not knowing that is our last meeting.

“We lost Yusuf Usman Halilu, in a ghastly motor accident this morning along airport road, Abuja”, he said.
