Nigeria Customs mourn death of Secretary

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the transition of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCII) Bolaji Rasaq who served as Secretary to the Customs Area Controller of the Ondo/Ekiti Area Command.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC) Herbert Dzungwenen said ASCII Bolaji Rasaq lost the battle of her life Tuesday, 7 January 2025, at a Specialist hospital in Lagos State.

He disclosed this on Wednesday 8th January 2025 in a statement, on behalf of the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Morenikeji Bewaji, described her as a diligent and devoted Customs officer who had already been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

In the statement, published on Facebook, highlighted her significant contributions to the Nigeria Customs Service, noting that her exemplary commitment and dedication were highly esteemed.

The Comptroller Bewaji noted that the demise has left the Command and her loved ones in profound grief.

She extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues, offering prayers for divine comfort.

“May Almighty Allah grant her Aljanat Firdaus and give her family the strength to bear this immeasurable loss. May her soul rest in perfect peace,” the Customs boss stated.
