Rigging: Alex Otti begs Edo voters to keep vigil

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has appealed to voters in Saturday September 21st 2024 governorship election in Edo State to vote Candidate of Labour party, Olumide Akpata watch their votes count after exercising their franchise, keep vigil and defend them to provent electoral fraud.

He made the appeal at the governorship campaign on Thursday in Benin City where he joined LP Candidate, Akpata with his running mate, Asama Kadiri and leaders of the party at the road show at some markets in the State.

“In Abia, we didn’t sleep for four days. So, if you go to sleep, they (election riggers) will steal your votes”, Otti said his party’s victory and development can be replicated in Edo State.

“My coming here is not to just to convince you to vote because I know that you will vote Labour Party, I am here to let you know that you must protect your votes so that you can begin to enjoy the template of Labour Party, which we are implementing in Abia State”, he said.

Also speaking, Candidate of Labour Party, Mr Olumide Akpata, reassured Edo voters that his administration will not descriminate against non indigenes in the State of elected.

He said Labour Party government will provide good governance and be accountable to be people and end bad governance in the State.
