Three men in court over unverified claims of ‘stolen manhood’

The Nigeria Police Command in Kwara State on Thursday arraigned three men in court for causing public nuisance, using an unverified claims of stolen manhood in Ilorin, the State Capital.

The Command’s spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi who disclosed this in a statement, but did give the names of the accused that are undergoing trial, and the number of charges that were preferred against them.

They were linked to the incidents, recorded in the Okeogun area of Tanke between Monday, July 17, 2023, according to the spokesman.

The accused from were arrested and arraigned in court the law enforcement agency, for falsely accused members of the public of stealing their manhood as an alibi.

Ajayi said the claims by the accused, turned out to be a hoax after it was subjected to medical examination in hospital that indicated that their reproductive organs were all in perfect condition.

“The three accused persons were almost lynched if not for the quick intervention of policemen and people around them”, police authorities said.

The statement also advised lawful citizens, particular residents of Tanke/Oke-Odo area in the State, to be weary of “fake private organ theft alarms or risk arrest and diligent prosecution”.

It further enjoined members of the public that jungle justice is punishable by law; hence, the good people of Kwara State are advised to shun such hullabaloo to keep the incidences of jungle justice at bay.
