Fuel subsidy is gone, Tinubu tells Nigerians

The new President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has removed fuel subsidy.

He said this during his inaugural speech aftee taking his oath of office with his vice President, Kashim Shettima on Monday at Eagles Square, Abuja, the nation’s Capital.

Tinubu told Nigerians that his government can longer justify its ever increasing costs in the wake of scarce resources.

Tinubu said, “We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment in public infrastructure, education, healthcare and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions”.
