Date:

Some unidentified traders have uncovered wraps of illicit drug suspected to be tramadol in ‘fufu also known as ‘Santana’ in a deeply disturbing viral video on the internet.

Fufu wraps are a staple West African food, commonly made from fermented cassava (akpu), pounded yam, or plantain flour, while tramadol is a synthetic opioid painkiller, but in the context of the

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

Tramadol is substance that is also heavily targeted as a banned, illicit, and widely abused substance in Nigeria.

In the distasteful footage obtained by our reporter, some women can be heard at the background, pointing accusing finger at particular ethnic group in connection with the alleged heinous crime.

The exact location of the incident has yet-to-be established the exact location of the incident as of the time of filing this crime report.

The footage has triggered backlash over what what some netizens considered as a subterranean motive to tag and smear the reputation of one of the ethnic groups in Nigeria.
