A viral video of a dark skin man suspected to be a lecturer Northwest University (formerly Yusuf Maitama University) being flogged with horse whips for allegedly soliciting s*x for grade from a female student, has sparked outrage on social media.
The Head of Department of History and International Studies at Northwest University, was said to have been lured into the waiting alms of husbands of the yet to be identified female student’s husband who mobilized youths and got his violently assaulted.
The lecturer allegedly kept refusing to approve a married female student’s project for two years because she wouldn’t give into his advances, according to LindaIkeji’s blog media.
This was after the woman complained to her husband and the set a trap for him, according to reports from those who have seen the lecturer’s chat with his married student, he fixed an appointment to have s£x with her right after Maghrib prayers.
When he showed up at the agreed time to meet with the woman, her husband and others were waiting for him and they gave him the beating of his life before handing him over to the police who took the lecturer into custody for further investigation.
TheNewspad reports that members of the Academic staff Union of Universities in the institution have been duly notified of the recent incident that occurred at night.
